Revd Andy Wilson

Revd Andy Wilson has been appointed as Interim Minister at Warblington with Emsworth with effect from 1st June 2017.  Andy is Vicar of Christ Church Portsdown and Joint Area Dean of Havant, and will continue with those roles, spending two days each week plus two Sundays each month in our parish. During this time, Andy is assisting with leading services and preaching, but a major part of his role is to provide pastoral care.

Andy grew up in the Midlands before studying Maths at the University of Bristol. It was here that he met Jacqui. They have been married for 34 years and have three adult sons and two young grandchildren.

After University, Andy spent a year working with Church Army followed by a career in software development. He was ordained in 1999, having trained at Trinity College, Bristol. Andy spent 8 years in Worthing, where he led a thriving family-friendly church meeting in a school hall, before moving to Portsdown.

Outside of church, his main interest is sport. He is a lifelong fan of West Bromwich Albion and is chaplain to Havant & Waterlooville Football Club.

Andy is available for anyone in the parish to meet and chat about any issue, and is happy to be contacted on 07951 748646.
